Support Groups

The Center for Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery at Lawrence Hospital invites you to attend our monthly support group meeting.

The meeting is open to all patients who have had weight loss surgery, and to all patients who are considering bariatric surgery.

All patients considering surgery for weight loss are required to attend at least one meeting before surgery.

The meetings will be held on the first Wednesday of each month.

New Patient Seminars

The Center for Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery invites you to attend our preoperative education seminar. This seminar is conducted by the clinical staff to provide information regarding surgical options, risks of surgery, expected weight loss and lifestyle changes that are required after weight loss surgery. All patients considering weight loss surgery are REQUIRED to attend a seminar prior to scheduling a first appointment. As an alternative, you may view and complete the online seminar. You must print out the certificate of completion and present this at the time of your initial consultation.
